That is definitely true enough.
I've read of a similar piece, actually. It was a powerful prose about this woman who died, I think, and then... yeah. >.<
I think this is pretty amazing, in terms of the concept and the way you've portrayed it. I like the last line and how that's what is most important. I feel as if you could emphasise it further through italics, perhaps?
